Triple Corona 2025

The Argentine Polo Association (AAP) proudly announces that the Triple Crown of Argentine Polo has once again been officially recognized as an event of “National Interest,” following Resolution 206/2025 issued by the General Secretariat of the Presidency.

This prestigious acknowledgment reaffirms the extraordinary significance of the Triple Crown, a series that brings together the three most iconic tournaments on the Argentine polo calendar: the Hurlingham Open, the Tortugas Open, and the legendary Argentine Open in Palermo. Considered the pinnacle of world polo, these tournaments are unique on a global scale, as they feature the very best players on the planet, athletes who hold the sport’s highest distinction, the 10-goal handicap rating.

The declaration of National Interest, obtained through a formal request presented by the AAP, not only highlights the sporting value of the Triple Crown but also underscores its cultural, historical, and social impact within Argentina. Polo is deeply rooted in the country’s traditions and identity, and the Triple Crown stands as the ultimate expression of excellence, competitiveness, and prestige in the discipline.

For the Argentine Polo Association, this recognition is both an honor and a responsibility: an acknowledgment of the effort and commitment of the players, clubs, organizers, and fans who keep this tradition alive year after year, and an invitation to continue promoting Argentine polo as a national symbol admired throughout the world.
